Trans fats

There are two types of trans fats in foods: naturally occurring trans fats like the ones found in milk and butter, for example, and synthetic trans fats found in hydrogenated oils and processed foods. Natural trans fats pose virtually no health risk since they’re only found in very small amounts in foods. But the pervasive synthetic trans fats are dangerous because they increase cardiovascular risk.
