Reduction in milk losses

In 2009, the management team at the Brossard plant implemented a plan to drastically reduce milk losses in an effort to meet industry standards and increase the profitability and viability of the plant, which has been in operation since 1964. Involving employees and management, this mobilizing approach was used to draft a report to analyze and follow up on milk losses and set out a list of priority projects to curb their occurrence.

These initiatives are still underway and should be completed by the end of 2011. They will enable us to better control processes in the long term, reduce milk losses and reach one of the objectives of our sustainable development policy to reduce the ecological footprint of the plant. The results will then be applied within the corporation’s other plants. (fiche yogourt lait)
